DWCC-of Central Virginia
FODWCC-Pacific Northwest Chapter |
We are also aware that two others clubs are surviving. DWCC-of Central Virginia is still very much a David Winter staunch supporters clubs and although their meetings, they only have seven members, are more social now, they hope to be included in whatever news is circulating and I, for one, will make sure this happens.
The other club is the FODWCC-Pacific Northwest Chapter. This club is ongoing but with a very restricted membership. The remaining members have noted a marked de-crease in interest over the past 2/3 years mainly due to all the changes we have seen.
The club has diversified with the inclusion of other collectables such as Harbour Lights which has supported them over the years. |
DWCC Northern Virginia |
Founded: December 1, 1992
Meetings: three times a year typically in March, July and September or October at the Mason Government Center in Annandale, VA.
There are no dues, but we do hold raffles to raise funds for our charities and the club.
We no longer publish a newsletter, but we do keep an email list of members who are interested in receiving news about David Winter Cottages.
The club has mainly become a social club where collectors have become friends and the meetings are an opportunity to see everyone and to catch up on the latest David Winter Cottages news.

DWCC- Perth, Australia |
The Club held its first meeting of the year at the end of January. President Jesse Jackson has reported the club, which has 12 members, is still continuing to survive despite losing members to either past members moving from the area or sadly due to death.Recruitment for the club is difficult. Australia has strict privacy laws and the reluctance of retailers to become involved means the details of the club's existence are never passed on to lapsed collectors or possible collectors enquiring about hte cottages. Hopefully this can be changed over the coming months. |
